| Denmark is beautifully set alongside the Denmark River on a rising hillside overlooking tree covered hills. Surrounded by trees, this charming town is "where the forest meets the sea".
In Denmark, world class wineries abound. A relaxed environment and friendly people make it a perfect place to visit or stay.
The Noongar Aboriginals have been inhabiting the region for an estimated forty-thousand years call the Denmark area "Koorabup" which means, "the place of the Black Swan." The Wilson Inlet, a focal point for the area, has an abundnace of black swans and other interesting and in many cases unique bird life. |

| Since 1895 Denmark has been a prosperous WA town
and today hosts the famous Denmark Markets which happen at Easter
and Christmas. There are numerous other events throughtout the year.
There is a local market every second sunday where you can buy local
fruit and veggies as well as handicrafts, olive oils, and gifts.
Usually a sign is hung in the centre of town on the day.
The town centre is peaceful, with no traffic lights. With host
of wonderful places to shop as well delightful and delicious eating
houses it is a great place to be.
The Denmark Visitors Centre also houses one of the planet's most interesting instruments: The World's Largest Barometer.
