Swimming is NOT recommended along the Great Southern Ocean
except in a few sheltered spots. Always respect the power of
the ocean. Frequent large waves and surges wash the coast all
day long. DO NOT underestimate the power of waves along this
coastline. |

Wear proper walking shoes. Bring plenty of water. Wear sun
hats and sun protection. Stay to the pathways! Always travel
with another person. Notify your friends of when you expect
to return. Be conscious of the bio diversity of the area and
do what you can to preserve it. |

LARGE WAVES: Always take care when near the water. The waves
of the Rainbow Coast are frequently large, powerful and unpredictable.
Surges "King Waves" are frequent and occur without
warning. Always stay clear of the waterline and never take your
eyes of the ocean. |
