Only thirty kilometres east of Walpole you can encounter Peaceful
Bay. Set on the Great Southern Ocean on the eastern side of a headland,
the coast is raw with beaches that stretch from west to east.
Peaceful Bay beach is split in two by the Irwin
Inlet as it discharges into the ocean. Sand dunes abound.
Many four-wheel drive tracks grant access through the National
Park, and people from around the world come to visit the wildflowers
of the region during wildflower
season.

We took our Subaru Forester AWD along the
beach to where the Irwin Inlet discharges
into the ocean. Truly a magnificent place to spend the afternoon.

 The Giant Tingle Tree
This Giant Tingle Tree is special because it the oldest living eucalypt in the world.It is an 800 metre walk from the forested car park, to the Giant Tingle Tree and back again. Visit the Giant Tingle Tree. |
 The Knoll Scenic Drive

 Hilltop Lookout
Hilltop Lookout is on Hilltop Road, just east of Walpole. The lookout overlooks the Nornalup Inlet and the Frankland River. Rocky Head and Saddle Island can be seen in the distance. Visit Hilltop Lookout. |
 Nornalup Inlet
The Nornalup Inlet is serene. Fed from the Deep and Frankland Rivers and, via a natural deep water channel, it connects to the Walpole Inlet. Visit Nornalup Inlet. |
