Hiroko Cafe

A taste of authentic Japanese home-style cooking in the heart of Denmark!

Hiroko Cafe is a warm, welcoming Japanese Izakaya styled restaurant & takeaway tucked into the heart of Denmark, serving honest home-style food made with care. Hiroko brings inspiration from Nagoya, Japan, blending her traditional recipes with fresh local Denmark ingredients and carefully sourced Japanese staples. The Cafe is traditionally prepared Japanese cuisine, with a Western flair from hubby Dominic. Run with warmth and personality, it’s the kind of place you can drop in mid-day for something comforting, or return in the early evening for a relaxed, flavourful meal that feels both familiar and a little special. The menu features handmade gyoza, crispy karaage chicken, chicken katsu, teriyaki tofu and crumbed prawn bento boxes served with rice and salad, alongside udon noodle bowls, sushi, nigiri and light sides like miso soup and edamame. A weekly special adds something seasonal and homely, while green tea ice cream with fruit offers a light, refreshing finish. Drinks include Japanese tea, ramune, kombucha, sake and beer, with small treats like dorayaki, mochi etc available to enjoy or take away. Open Wednesday 12-6pm Thursday 12-6pm Friday 12–2pm
